Vintage Pflueger Medalist 1498 Fly Fishing Reel in Case with Spare

For sale is a Vintage Pflueger Medalist 1498 Fly Fishing Reel in Case with Spare Spool. Manufactured in Akron, Ohio. Reel and spool show some surface wear compatible with use and age – see pictures – but are still in nice condition. Mechanically everything still works well – click is strong, spool runs smoothly and true and adjustable drag works. Features 6 rivets, plastic latch cover and Diamolite line guard. Spare spool also has 6 rivets and plastic latch cover. Has line leader, line and backing but I don’t know what kind or how much. Case is for a Pflueger Supreme reel but the Medalist fits nicely in it. A nice clean, original reel that still has a lot of use left in it.
